If you have an eyecup for your camera's eyepiece you will need to slide it off to install the Arsenal 2. You can then slide it back into place after you have mounted the device.

After tethering Arsenal 2 to your camera tap Menu on the back of your camera > Navigate to the Setup menu (yellow toolbox), and scroll down to USB > USB Connection Mode > set to PC Remote. Navigate to the Setup menu, USB> USB Power Supply > set to Off

Then navigate the Network menu (green globe) > Remote Shooting > Still Img. Save Dest. > set to Dest. + Camera and select your image size.

General Tips

  • If possible, start with a blank memory card in your camera. This will improve the Arsenal 2 app's initial performance.

  • Fully charge your camera's battery. (Some cameras disable their USB port when the battery is low.)

  • If you are shooting in RAW + JPEG as recommended, set your aspect ratio to 3:2 for both file types.

  • If you are shooting with a Sony a1, a7C, a7IV, a7RIV, a7RV, a7Siii, or a6700 you can select "Only send JPGs to Arsenal when in RAW + JPEG". To access this setting click on the gear icon in the upper left corner of the app.

Once you have configured your Sony camera and updated your Arsenal 2, you can open the app and click Connect. Now you're ready to start shooting with Arsenal 2!
