Canon Camera Set Up

Before you start, please adjust the following:

  • Set to AV (aperture priority) for the initial connection.

  • Set the Live View selector switch to stills and not video.

  • If you have a Canon camera with dual card slots, ensure that you are recording both RAW and JPEG formats to the same card. Rec. separately is not supported at this time.

Setting location varies depending on the Canon camera model.

Then look for the instructions associated with your camera. If your Canon camera is supported but you don’t see any instructions associated with it, no settings on your camera need to be adjusted.

General Tips

  • If possible, start with a blank memory card in your camera. This will improve the Arsenal 2 app's initial performance.

  • Fully charge your camera's battery. (Some cameras disable their USB port when the battery is low.)

  • If you are recording in RAW + JPEG on your camera make sure the aspect ratio for both file types is set to 3:2.

Once you have configured your Canon camera and updated your Arsenal 2, you can open the app and click Connect. Now you're ready to start shooting with Arsenal 2!

Troubleshooting Tips

Trouble running an Exposure Bracket?

Please make sure your camera's EV step is set to 1/3 or 0.3 EV.

See an image of a PC on your camera's back screen?

Some Canon cameras allow for FTP transfers with a feature called “Automatic Transfer.” This feature needs to be disabled.
